Form and Content

The form of this portrait would be water color. I think that the artist is trying to portray the peacefulness and tranquility of nature. Everything seems to flow in the direction that the people are walking along the shoreline.

The form of this piece would be word art. The artist does an
excellent job of portraying the tranquility of this animal
using only black, white, and grey. The content here
would be nature.

Defining Design

Webster defines design as an outline, sketch, or plan, as of the form and structure of work of art, an edifice, or a machine to be executed or constructed.

Types of Design

There are many different types of design that one can use. Three major types of design are impressionism, realism, and watercolor. These are all different versions of digital painting. Digital painting allows the artist to work in a digital mess free environment however, some artists argue that there will always be more control for an artist with a physical brush in their hand.
